Holiday Brackets of Sorrow

Giveaway: What’s The Worst Part About In-Store Holiday Shopping?

The holidays are approaching, code freezes are coming, and one of the most hectic frenzies of web traffic is ready to impact your servers. However, most of us would rather avoid the mob rushes, lower inventories, parking, and the inability to shop in your underwear at retail stores and malls. Blue Acorn wants you to help identify the worst parts of buying holiday gifts in-stores at local big-box retailers and shopping malls.

Blue Acorn Holiday Bracket of Sorrow

Brackets of Sorrow

Introducing the Blue Acorn Holiday Bracket of Sorrow, our humorous look at some of the issues we face during prime holiday gift purchasing periods in stores and malls. In this bracket challenge, we’ll have four rounds designed to identify the very worst part about shopping in-person instead of shopping online.

Simply make your selections on the brackets page, and you could win a 30-ounce YETI tumbler. For our partners and employees, we also have special giveaways, so be sure to select who you are after making your picks and filling out the form. Add in your email address after you’ve finished selecting your picks. There will be four rounds, so you have several opportunities to enter.

Vote in round one today through Sunday, October 30. Voting for round two will open on Sunday, October 30, followed by round three on November 6, and final round voting begins November 13. We will announce the final selection before Black Friday, along with our prize winners.

Interesting bracket, would love to see ‘the winner’:)

On a side note, it seems like your Holiday shopping experience is pretty mild. Here’s a couple of ideas for the next years lineup:

– Drunk shoppers
– That guy, who decided to pay with 1 dollar bills for his $400 purchase

I have more to share, but those would be NSFW:)
