The brand began in 1989 with the seed of an idea: comfort for all. Co-founders Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams are considered the masters of modern home furnishings. Together, they strategize with their in-house design team with the guiding principle of producing only furnishings they would want in their own homes.
The company’s ecommerce site was lagging behind their high-end, in-store experience. Blue Acorn partnered with Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams to design and implement a new site on Salesforce Commerce Cloud that would empower each store with a tool to enhance the sales experience; to help customers better understand the size, shape and quality of the products; and to showcase the company’s appreciation for love and passion in design.
Blue Acorn and Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams collaborated to develop a design that fulfilled a mutual vision and pushed the boundaries of innovation on Salesforce Commerce Cloud. Developers from Blue Acorn created an interactive catalog that merges the in-store and online buying experiences and appeals to the company’s three user groups: individual customers, interior designers, and the in-store sales teams.
Conversations with customers and sales associates influenced the addition of new features and helped determine the functionality. Customers can, of course, order products online, or the product pages can be printed as spec sheets, a feature incorporated to appeal to designers.
